Great bag, sturdy, lots of space & able to take the beating from airport baggage handlers. I have 3 others just like it that have been in use for probably at least 5 seasons. This one was for my husband.

I absolutely love this bag. It holds everything I need for skiing locally or for traveling, which entails duplicates of some items. It's well laid out and the zippers work smoothly and in two directions. The shoulder straps are comfortable for the unexpected long walk from back of parking lot to lodge.I bought my bag two years ago. A few weeks ago I was dismayed to discover a small tear in the fabric on the lower corner where the shoulder straps attach. I contacted Athalon, hoping to get a reimbursement or something for a stitch & fix to be done locally. Instead they sent me a brand new bag, even the same style as the one I have and love.Happy, happy, happy.

This is the fourth one I have bought of this same bag over the last ~10 years.l for the family. Great design very roomy for ski boots, helmet, gloves and accessories, even a stuffed coat. Pockets are in the right places.On one of these bags the backstrap broke, and there’s a big hole now duck taped in the corner bottom probably from checking it as airline luggage, and another one wore out, so long term durability is questionable. This is a replacement of the same bag because overall I’m very happy with it and would buy it again as long as the price is reasonable. This new one was just checked in as airline luggage and came back in great shape.

Early indicators show this could be a legit 5+ year boot bag. The 10mm zippers are king. Hearty material, drainage holes in the boot sleeves/compartments, plenty of room for a helmet, goggles w/ case, snow pants, gloves, socks +.Two years ago I bought an Extremus (65L) Snow Bound Ski Boot Bag for one of my kids who at the time was a 6th grader. Yes it was too big but that really wasn't the issue. The wealth of pockets were enticing but turned out to be a nuisance but the biggest issue were the zippers. They zippers were garbage (3mm), the material was thin and we found the boot garage to be a terrible design.Athalon has been around for over 50 years. If you're going to roll the dice on what appears to be a top-rated "boot bag" consider brands with longevity before defaulting to what appears to be a "great deal" with "excellent reviews."

2022 Update: I just bought my 4th bag. The previous 3 purchases were my sons, mine and 1 for my wife. All have performed excellent. I'm replacing the same bag that lasted 12 years and frankly that one is still serviceable except for a couple small holes at the seams at the bottom of the boot storage area which I could probably easily fix and I'll give it to my daughter. The new bag does have a chemical smell and I'll return the bag if it doesn't resolve in a few days.We bought this for my teenage son for carrying his ski boots, helmet, ski pants and ski clothing etc. The bag is perfectly sized for this. For anyone familiar with Transpack bags, this Athalon bag is very similar, and although slightly different shape, it seems to have the same capacity. I would say this Athalon bag is a step up in quality from Transpack and even my teenage son noticed the high quality.I would highly recommend this bag and I might even buy one for myself :)2/5/11 EDIT: I was so pleased with the quality and capacity of my sons Athalon Everything Boot bag, I got one for myself. Without problem it holds ski boots, ski pants, long underwear, sweat pants, two shirts, sweat shirt, ski sox, a pair of shoes and my helmet. There are extra pockets to hold more. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and there is padding between your back and pack.1/22/13 EDIT: I've lugged this bag to and from the mountain close to 50 times and the bag is still in excellent condition. Very pleased with my purchase.

That bag is huge and very high quality standard.I love it, it could fit my size 10 figure ice skates with blade protection on into the side compartments (still have 2 fingers space left in front) and all my gears in the middle. And there are so many pockets that I haven’t figured out what I could put in there yet.Edit: more I go and more I discover, like that great feature of hiding the backpack straps into a pocket to avoid getting them soaking in water/snow or tripping over them accidentally.Worth very well the price. Great purchase.

impressed with quality of this ....better than most boot bags I've had /seen. It is larger than most with a number of separate pockets and can fit all of my ski gear in for a week' holiday as well as boots.
