I made a mistake and ordered a chuck that was for an M1 lathe, this fits and is working quite well. I would buy it again if I needed to. The workmanship is fine, I havent seen any flaws and I can get my chuck out which is perfect.

This allows me to utilize mt2 tools that I had previously purchased for a mini lathe. My new lathe has a mt3 tail stock spindle. With this attachment I can get by without having to retool completely for mt3.

This product is works exactly as expected. We use an annular cutting bit and holder at work in the drill press. It went through tons of cutters due to the wobble with the sleeves we have. With these sleeves we've drilled literally (276) 2" holes 1-1/8" deep and the down side is I had to learn how to sharpen the cutter, and that's through stainless steel!!!

Overall I was quite impressed with the MT3-MT2 adapter. Used it in my lathe without issues. Then I tried to remove my spur drive insert and it turns out that's not possible. The adapter has a slot for inserting a drift tool, but it is all the way at the end. All my MT2 tools are shorter than that slot.

Purchased a larger lathe and was about to use my MT1 pen mandrel using this converter. Excellent fit and finish… product is better than pictured as far as machining goes. Quality product.
