Got this to replace the seal on the passenger side of the transmission where the axle enters. Perfect fit, problem (leak) solved.I may have inadvertantly damaged the original seal when I replaced the axle, so this resolved that mistake. Should really replace them anyway whenever you change an axle, but I tried to go cheap. Glad it was an easy fix in the end.

This seal fits on the transmission of the 2001 camry 2.2L 5S-Fe engine.

I specified that my 05 camry 2.4 liter had a U250E transmission got this took the axle out and this was far too small. a 48mm gasket was needed rockauto has it but so did my local carquest so I grabbed it there. Shame on amazon I almost couldn't return this because it was beyond 30 days but amazon took it back because they got the part fitment wrong. Good on amazon. Amazon does not have a gasket for the U250E go to RockAuto its 3.50 + shipping.

This ADP seal seems like a good product if you have enough clearance available to install it properly. My Toyota transmission was still installed in the car, so I did not have room to install the seal easily. There are competing products that have a stronger internal frame which should reduce any damage caused by installation mistakes.

I didn't end up having to replace my seals so I guess these will be shelved for any future need since returning them is a an expensive hassle. It looks correct for the driver's side differential but not for the passenger side.

But, that could be because my son began taking the car off the pavement several times and the car was also hit across the front end while parked in a parking lot before it started leaking again.
