The best repair is to replace the old cable with a new one. ATP accelerator cables are designed to fit and function just like the original part to ensure durability and long life.

It said it wouldnt fit on my truck but I bought it anyway and it was a perfect fit. Doesnt seem like the best quality but it did the trick. Pretty damn good for how cheap it was. Way easier to install than I thought.

I needed a shorter throttle cable to fit my 1984 K20 with a SBC, Holley sniper EFI, and the Amazon 304147 throttle bracket for 4150 / 4160 carbs. It does require a small loop to be put in it (like most of the cables of this style in square body trucks), and I had to remove the rubber gasket on the firewall side so the clips would engage. It's still a little loose fitting on the firewall side but its plenty secure and Ive got full range of smith throttle motion. having the carburetor throttle bracketry is a must to fine tune it all.

I had to bend a loop in it to fit my 74,gmc 2500. It was about 6 inches too long for the correct fit for my application. It will work

Old cable was too short. This was perfect for a 307 to 454 swap.

Works as intended. Button clip on the end that attaches to the pedal the diameter is a loose fit. Does NOT SNAP INTO PLACE and LOCK AS IT SHOULD. But it stays in place , as the tension is adjusted by you to your carburetor via the cable. ðŸ‘

This cable seems to be a decent fir for my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am 4 speed manual. It looks a little long to me but allows some flexibility and also achieves 100% throttle opening, as required.I took one star off because the rubber grommet/gasket has a raised lip on it that made it impossible to press the fitting far enough into the firewall opening to get the two tabs to lock. I read some reviews ahead of time that suggested this (or some similar cables) could have this issue. My solution was to use a belt sander to GENTLY sand that lip down on the two sides of the fitting with the locking tabs to be about level with the non-raised center of the grommet/gasket. I was then able, with moderate effort, to press the fitting in far enough for the tabs to lock onto the firewall. Good luck, folks.
