While the product works as intended. If you are getting this for a 90s chevy pickup/suv. It will not work. You need to get the spring compressor that goes inside the spring instead.

Compressed the coil spring perfect. Went to let tension off the spring and threads balled up. Used a breaker bar and ended up breaking the stud off in the bottom of the tool. Not impressed. First time it's ever been used.

Used this to replace thr front shocks on a truck. After using a small impact to tighten and loosen the bolts on the first shock I noticed the threads where already wearing and thinning. This worked great for the few times illness it for personal use but wouldn't expect it to last where a higher duty cycle is needed

First strut went good. The second one not so much. Threads got locked up. Not heavy duty.

Seems like good quality, good fit and finish. Successfully compressed the spring of the coilover for disassembly, but when I went to loosen them, one got super bound up. Almost feels cross-threaded. I'm going to attempt a return and hope the next set does better.

Fit and finish looks very dangerous. Cracks in the casting. Refund was given in the form of a gift card. Still cant find where it says that, paid with credit card expected credit card charge reversed. Totally unacceptable.

This compressor is the best I have used. We all worry about spring back. Not with these. Take your time and set it properly. Use the arch to connect the two compressors

Definitely an awesome product, does not feel flimsy or sketchy at all, espcially with that double clamp at the bottom. Ive been using an impact on it and its been just fine

Seemed built very well but did not use because then end were to big to fit between spring gaps on my shocks

The first attempt of trying to use a ghetto spring compressor to get 1†of ring adjustment on the preload. Resulted in having to cut the spring compressor off. After scouring the internet for any notes of Ram 1500 4th Generation adjustment. I finally gave in once the last shop in town said they wouldn’t do it. I bought these, and they did a great job.Definitely grease the threads, take your time and position the brackets as close to the ends as possible.

If you're wondering if it's as sketchy as you're reading. The answer is yes. That being said, with enough care and attention this job isn't too unsafe with this tool. I've seen the cheap sets bend after one use, I used this tool to compress my old springs to swap to new ones multiple times and I have to say it's really fantastic. The additional built-in safety features do make it much more safe. If I had to offer product feedback I would say a guard for the top set and a little longer would be ideal.Again, if you're going to do this, just save yourself the hassle, grease this tool like crazy before using it and everything will go smoothly. This is highly worth the extra $20 for a decent tool over the cheapest here on Amazon
