did what it was supposed too. made a space for a bigger magnet on my box. worked well had to cut off carpet from inside of ring to make the speaker fit…didn’t cause an issue not complaining about it just saying you might have to also. used a utility knife took about 2 minutes not a big deal. well made ring

I bought this to use between my subwoofer and the metal in the rear deck of my car. I painted the MDF surface flat black to blend in. Sometimes MDF really soaks up paint but this one accepted one coat of spray paint without any trouble. The ring is not predrilled so I marked all the holes through the subwoofer and drilled the holes prior to installation. The fuzzy side faces into the trunk and conforms to the uneven shape pretty well as well as provides a very professional looking fit. The ring held it's shape just fine after screwing everything down very tightly.

Previously I had a lm alpine DS type R and it rattled a lot in my 350z convertible and when I installed the spacer with a CT sound miso10 84~90% of the rattling went away with a crispier bass and more focused beat.I did have to split the spacer ring in half to allow for more room as the sub wouldn’t seat flush completely onto the base of the speaker.Nonetheless, I wish I had known this trick before so make subs perform better but the inner diameter is a bit small for most subs.All in all I’d give a 8.5 in performance improvement from my previous setup and if you have a sub that ain’t performing as well then simply add the spacer and it’ll be night and day in performance.

i had a subwoofer box that couldn't fit a sub because of the depth, the sub was too big and the box wasn't thick enough so i used this to lift the sub up just enough to make it fit perfectly.

I had to cut the carpet off the inside edge of the ring but then it worked great.

This was an absolute waste of time save your money. First of all. the skar 10inch sub basket wont even fit within the ring, I'd have to cut it all up even more than I have to due to the fact the ring is 2 inches wide.. Why they would do this considering sub's rims are rarely over half an inch to an inch or so. So because I assumed a 10 inch sub would fit in a 10 inch spacer and had already modified the ring to fit the box im using, Im just stuck with absolute garbage. Seriously guys, if your like me and here from frustration mounting VD Skar subs. This aint it keep rolling along my guy.

Only fits regular subs. 100% Won't fit a JBL shallow sub. Not sure about others.
