About this item

  • This wired remote (ACR-3) allows you to easily change the input source, adjust the auxiliary input volume, and adjust the output level of channel 4 (often used for a subwoofer) of the AudiControl LC8i. The remote is designed to be dash mounted, within reach of the driver; it can be mounted under the dash with the supplied bracket, or the bracket can be removed and the knob and LED can be custom mounted through the dash. Pressing the knob engages the auxiliary input.
  • Compatible with: LC8i 8-channel line converter, DQ-61 factory sound processor, DQDX digital signal processor, D-4.800 4-channel amp and DSP, D-6.1200 6-channel amp and DSP, DM-608, DM81 digital signal processors, & The Epicenter Amplifiers.
  • Mounting Options: The dash control may be mounted under the dash using its own bracket or through a custom hold in the dash. It should be within reach of the driver and in a spot where the LED is plainly visible
  • Bracket Installation: The dash control mounts with two screws, which attach to the underside of the dashboard. Slide under the dash and place the dash control in its mounting position, mark the two mounting holes, drill pilot holes, and secure with two screws.
  • Custom Installation: For that custom, finished look, the dash control can be flush mounted directly on the dash-board (or anywhere else). Disassemble the dash control from the mounting bracket. Start by pushing the LED from its holder followed by removing the circuit board and rotary control from the bracket. Drill a 9/32" hole in the dashboard for the control along with a 1/8" hole for the lock tab and a 13/54" hold for the LED holder. Reassemble the dash control components on the dashboard.

Used with my car's DM-608. Very much necessary when using TOSLINK or COAX digital inputs. Adjusting volume via the app over bluetooth really doesnt work well while driving (and you should not be doing it anyway, illegal in most states). Having a physical knob is easiest. And the memory select feature is handy too!

If you have an Audio Control Dsp “DM-608 or DM-810 this is a must have especially if you listen to many genres of music. It allows you to switch between 3 different tunes stored in the DSP.

Is this from audio control so it does do exactly what it says it’s to do. And works just like the instructions read. Here’s the thing, Unlike the other knobs, such as the one for the epicenter, or the ARC1, Just one infinitely turns in either direction. Someone train the base down there more importantly when you’re trying to turn it back up really impossible to tell whether it’s all the way up without spinning way more then you know it’ll need. I get that it has a push feature which is probably why it’s like this, but the really great if it had a starting starting point. Especially when you’re trying to do this while driving. That is it’s only downfall in my opinion. And I supposed with practice ends in time I might be able to recognize how many clicks. But for now I just read about two or three times to be safe.

In my opinion this is just to fragile. Either that or the Authorized JL Audio Installer is not taking the necessary steps to insure products durability. I'm using a DQ-61 Crossover to control the volume of my subwoofer. After 6 years I replaced the knob unit ACR-3 thinking it was bad, you see after awhile the sub signal just cuts out (mutes sub amp), what you need to know is the Phone wire needs to be yanked & replaced at the same time the ACR-3 knob unit is replaced. After 6 scheduled visits & 2 years of cutting out of the sub, did we finally discover what the problem actually was, I can't tell you how frustrating this problem was. Amp was replaced, Upgraded All RCAs, countless hours. Replaced the ACR-3 unit however, installer never changed the original Control Wire. Did I say I also have an Audio Control EPICENTER? All of that was replaced too, the ACR knob as well. Unbelievable
