Operation procedures
- 1. Open the cover and clean the detection prism with a soft cloth.
- 2. Take the test solution, place it on the detection prism, gently close the lid to avoid air bubbles, make the solution spread on the surface of the prism, and place the instrument on the light plate.
- 3. Align the light source or bright area, observe the field of view through the eyepiece, and rotate the eyepiece to adjust the handwheel.
- 4. Clarify the blue-white boundary of the field of view, and the scale value of the boundary is the concentration of the solution.
After calibration, clean the prism with a soft cloth and then Place 2-3 drops of the liquid sample to be tested into the prism, then close the cover plate and ensure that the sample spreads across the prism without air bubbles or dry spots. Wait about 30 seconds for the reading to stabilize. Align the prism assembly with the light source, look through the eyepiece and you can get the reading.

Calibration
Accurate measurement based on careful calibration, calibrate the refractometer before first use. Calibration is very easy, the product comes with a detailed operation manual, which will show you how to calibrate and operate it exactly. During the normal temperature (50℉ to 86℉), you don't have to calibrate it frequently, once every few months is ok, but during the temperature below 50℉ or above 86℉, we still recommend you recalibrate it before using it to ensure the best precision.

Its hard to read the numbers u need for salt water are not large its 1020 to 1030 and u half to look hard at little marks in between to count ur salt leave . but it does work an u can get ur salt level its just not as clear as it should be I thought.

Zu klein und die Skala war sehr weit im Bereich statt selektiv(er) für Meerwasserbereich. Für meerwasser untauglich. daher musste man eher raten, was jetzt gemessen wurde.
