As an aging electrician with bad knees, I often need to work on outlets that are only a foot or so off the floor. Kneeling is not a good option, but this lid cushion saves me from the strain and stress and lets me "sit down on the job". Works great, snaps onto most any 5-gal bucket, and I can even carry tools and parts in the bucket. Love it!

I'm really not sure what some of the negative reviews are about. This seat is comfortable, swivels, and makes good use of a 5 gallon bucket (Home Depot). It is not meant to permanently lock down to the bucket - if it did, you couldn't use the bucket for anything but a seat! I put my gardening tools in the bucket, and can comfortably sit with easy access to whatever I need. The bucket's wire handle does clear the seat (meaning, you can swing the handle up to carry the bucket with the seat on), it is just a bit snug. MAYBE 1/4 less stuffing and material, and it would swing freely. But it is not an issue. If I knew of other gardeners in my family, I would definitely buy one of these as a gift for them.

It's pretty comfortable. I carried it around all day for a hunting trip. It's pretty quite while is swivels too. All-in-all It's pretty good, for a bucket lid seat.

first one was warped or off too much even pushing the bucket sides. sent back for another. 2nd one was much closer to fitting...then epiphany ... soften or warm the black plastic lower half in the sun! I put it outside bottom up in the sun in my back yard. checked it about an hour later...kinda warm but a little pliable and when I put it on and sat down BOOM! snug fit. Try leaving it out in the sun for while black bottom side up...make it a lil flexible to fit over bucket edges with your weight.

I have three 5 gallon buckets and one 6 gallon. This seat only fits the six gallon - and does not fit securely. The six gallon bucket came with fetal pigs in it (I taught biology for 42 years).Even with the noted limitations, it is working out OK for me to garden sitting on it.
