Firat things first: this shackle is badass and exceeded all of my expectations.When I was looking for a shackle, it fell between this one and the lighter duty one. I chose this one because it was only a few dollars more for a 17,000# pull rating, and a 68,000# break rating. Now, I doubt I will ever have to pull that much, but for a few extra dollars, the added level of overkill durability worth it.The box contains everything you need, including extra rubber washers that fit the shackle pin and the trailer hitch pin lock, with extra o-rings so you can adjust the fit, and a cotter pin for the lock.As soon as you pull it out of the box, you can tell it is well made. The portion that slides into your hitch receptacle is a solid piece of steel; it isn't hollow. The shackle itself is solid and well made, and the shackle pin is thick and heavy-duty. The way it is made, it is easy to belive the 17,000# pull rating.Examining all the parts, it seems the weakest link would be the hitch receptacle lock, as it is the smallest diameter of everything included; however, it is unlikely you will be able to create enough shear force on the square 2" hitch receptacle to overcome the metal lock pin before having damaged everything else.The color is excellent and exactly as shown in the description. The paint is thick and smooth, without dried globs, drips, or thin spots. It looks like the paint will hold up very well to the elements and to hard use. I chose the purple, and it's a nice splash of color on my black SUV; I'm going to assume all of the colors look great.When I installed the shaft, you can shake it a little and it makes noise. Now, to be fair, I did not drive it to see if it rattled noticeably; therefore is a chance that the heavy weight of the unit will prevent rattling. However, like a few other reviewers, I simply wrapped some of the shaft with electrical tape to snug it up.The only worry I actually had was the rubber guards on the shackle. They fit nicely, but I was paranoid that they could be lost while driving on or off road, because they are two parts that sandwich the shackle. I already had my electrical tape out for the shaft, so I did a few loops on the center of the shackle around the center of the rubber guards. You can't tell from any distance, so it keeps the badass look while making sure I don't lose anything.Overall, I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a shackle, this one is an incredible value for the money, and the color choices can give your rig some subtle accents while still being able to perform when needed.

I'm very happy with the product performance and appearance, I had an issue with my lock on the hitch pin and coustomer service came through and made it right, they stand by their product and that makes me have bit more faith in humanity by their example of they way they do business with integrity; RESPECT!

As described, however the plastic is very thin and the first time we put a tow strap in it, the plastic broke off. Otherwise its a good value

I love the color and especially that it comes with a lock pin. Very easy to attach. I recommend putting electric tape on the shackle pin so that it won't unscrew easily in case anyone tries to steal it. Definitely adds a cooler look to my 4runner.

Looks great. Holds up well long term. Very durable. I have had this on my truck for about 6 months straight and used for pulling vehicles around a shop, still looks almost new.

I wanted something that was functional, looks good and matches the red front tow hooks on my 2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2, and is lockable, so no one can steal it. This checks all the above areas.

The hitch quality is good so far, pretty beefy compared to my last one that was stolen.However not a fan of the locking mechanism. It requires to have the key turned and pushed while also pushing the hitch pin in.... With a little better design there would be the ability to lock it then just push it on and it would stay locked.May source a different lock, and that will defeat the purpose of buying the package deal..
