Third set of these I’ve bought. (Putting in all my vehicles). Heavy cable- fine strand so it’s flexible. Good clamps. The bag kind of sucks and is cheap, but they are flexible enough to get back into original bag if you want.

Everything that makes a set of jumpers up to the task adds weight and bulk. I decided that #2 gauge was more than adequate for starting any car engine. 20 feet of length will usually be enough for the source vehicle to get close enough. These cables have what looks to be tough durable flexible insulation and the clamps seem strong and well made. I ordered one pair to check them out and then ordered a second pair for another car. The price was right -- I doubt you could find cheaper that would be dependable.

I have another, much more expensive, jumper cable that is really difficult to use, because the clamps can only be used sideways, but in my cars I have great difficulty accessing the battery terminals with a large clamp held horizontally. The clamps on this set can be used either in either a vertical or horizontal position. Perfect!

These jumper cables have come in handy more times than I can think of! Their low-gauge thickness helps provide the necessary amperage to jump-start anything from a dinky 2L to a hefty 6.7L powerstroke! I've jump started my car a few times (both the battery AND alternator failed this year! not bad for a 13 year old car, though), and I've also jump-started several other cars in need! I absolutely have recommended these cables to my friends and family, and my fiance even bought a set!

This cable is only 6 ft long NOT 12 ft as stated, therefore 1*. Can't excuse this vendor for lying thru his teeth. The cable and the crocodile clips looks good, but can't trust if it is 8 gauge. But it is well made.If what I received is a mistake, I expect the vendor exchange it for a 12ft set immediately.
