I ordered this gauge to match the theme of my car with black face and white numbers. I thought that I could hook it into my dash wiring so that I could dim it with other dash lighting but found out that I couldn't dim it. I guess there's an LED that backlights it. It's a bit bright at night which is annoying but overall it works well and I like it.
