Gauge looks very good, and construction feels solid.Comes with temp sensor, plug adapters, wiring harness, literally everything needed. However, the wiring harness is way too short. I ended up adding on about 5ft to my harness, which is easy, but something I didn't expect.Reading turns on fast, and does start at 0 degrees. The reading is very fluid and steady, it does not jump 170, 171, 170, 171, etc at all.Yes the red LED's are kind of bright, but I'm fine with them. They do not bother me during the day at all. When you turn the vehicle lights on (if you installed it correctly with the dimmer wire), the red LED's dim maybe 15% in my opinion and a white LED lights up the "water temp" part that is neat. The entire gauge DOES dim very dim with my vehicle gauge cluster dimmer, but then I can't read my speedometer etc lol. Full brightness at night is a little bright, but I'm fine with it. I've seen much brighter gauges in other cars/trucks. If I could redesign this gauge, I would either make it a little dimmer overall, or ideally maybe have a twist dial somewhere on it to adjust the starting point on it.One of the only LED temp gauges I could find that started at 0 and I'd buy this one again if I needed to.Pics are in my 2004 Ford F250 6.0 Powerstroke. Both day/night pictures are at full brightness, but a camera never gives you a true "in person" story

Just what I needed, except for the wires being too short to reach the sensor, And the lack of any adapter to put it in the head of a common 5.3 LS engine. Really Auto Meter? Why so cheap? I paid good money for this gauge, and I cannot install it without having to buy more stuff to actually use it! Really?? I have used their gauges for years, but cutting corners, with wires that are just a bit too short, and not providing the necessary, but common adapters to actually be able to install it, I would have to say that I am a bit disappointed in Auto Meter. For what it costs, there should be no additional costs to have what is needed for the install.

I recently purchased and installed the 6337 Water Temperature Gauge. Auto Meter says the LED is "bright" and they mean it. It's ok on a bright sunny day and if you are wearing your sun glasses, otherwise, it's way too bright. I can't figure out what they were thinking. You can wire it into your light switch so that it will dim a little at night when you turn your lights on, even then it is way too bright. Much more annoying than in the daytime.I mainly bought this Auto Meter brand of digital gauge because it will read down to 0 degrees instead of starting at 100 degrees like other brands. I also have an AEM digital gauge installed and the brightness is perfect, day and nightSeems that this has been an issue with this gauge for a few years. Listen up Auto Meter. One other issue I have is that their wiring harness is rather short. It would not hurt to add a couple of feet. The gauge does appear to function well so far.November 29, 2015 Update: After having used this gauge for over 3 years now, I would like to point out that the gauge temperature shown is higher than the actual temperature. For example, at 80 degrees the Auto Meter reads 82 degrees; at 200 degrees the Auto Meter reads 209 degrees. I checked this against 2 other thermometers that read the same. So I have assume that the gauge is off by reading higher than the actual temp. I have had no other issues other than the brightness that I mentioned in my earlier review.

So I bought this gauge maybe 5-6 years ago. A lot of the digits are no burned out you can’t tell the temp. For a gauge well over $100 I would expect it to last longer. I mean the vehicle there in some gauges are original and over 25 years old and still work. It was good while it lasted. Just remember you buying a couple of these at that price you might be buying them again in 5 years.

Great product so far. Has spent 1 season on the dash of my snowmobile getting wet and still works going on season 2. Is a standalone unit. If you have 12vdc you can run this unit. Comes with the sensor and 3 fittings for standard Tstat hole thread sizes, probably the one you need. I would purchase again and recommend.
