First I have 6 Cobalt gauges, I like these.....2 water2 boost/vacuumTransOilBut this 2242 sending unit is lasting 1000 miles, new ones lazy after 30+ minutes of driving every time. So annoying.....I've owned the normal electric Auto Meter oil gauges over the last 25 years and they're great as long as you use a braided line and good ground.Even with the Cobalt on a braided line, these 2242 sending units aren't lasting long. These Cobalt senders aren't as good of quality and not having an extra ground wire is a mistake, relying on the braided hose or not using Teflon tape etc are all things that could've been designed out. Just put a ground post on it, done.

Great gauge...Easy to install....Nice looking in a pod....Would recommend to anyone

Worked for about 2yrs. Then various led's died, now the display looks like that old "coleco handheld football game" with the dots & dashes. Shoulda got the old school dial gauge.
