This bug/rock deflector is easy to install, seems to have great adhesion, looks awesome, and fits perfectly. I just made sure to clean the install area with alcohol prep pads and then use an adhesion enhancer to insure a secure install. I used some blue painters tape on the center line of both the hood and the deflector to insure it was centered correctly, then followed the instructions by adhering the deflector from the center out on one side then the other a few inches at a time making sure it was even 1/8th" up from the lip of the hood. Came out great and is very secure, this is not coming off.

Just finished installing Hoodflector on my 2022 Ranger, everything lined up perfectly, plastic screws not so hot but they all worked. Very Happy . Would have been nice to have a brief how to install instruction included.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because there were no instructions in the box, I did watch a very good video on YouTube showing how to install it. The bug deflector 2 itself was fairly easy to install and does a very good job. It also looks good on my truck.

This is high quality and easy and quick to install. The material is incredibly strong. They are rock solid when driving on highways. I have always used bug deflectors on my trucks. It’s been a while since installing my last one. Wasn’t sure how this one actually attached to hood. YouTube showed using double sided tape. Not the case for these. They are attached directly to under side of hood with supplied pop rivets. Super strong. Highly recommended them as top of the line bug and stone deflector.

1st, AVS misboxed my 1st order! Whomever boxed mine transposed numbers around, and I got one for a 2008 Santa Fe, which is very similar! Amazon made it right! PLEASE follow Mr. Fixit instructions(1st post), except place a piece of scotch tape over the retainer that goes into the hood. Then poke the hole through it so you can insert the plastic screw for the install. BTW, holes on the deflector lined up perfectly! Also, by all means place a couple of LARGE bath towels or a sheet over the front and over the engine! YOU WILL drop a screw!! When that happens, it's GONE! ONE more piece of advice, I LOVE my wife, but maybe she isn't the best partner on these type of projects! Consider another another helper!The low profile shield covers the front of the hood perfectly and isn't seen from the drivers seat!Finally, I have a J7 magnetic Ranger and like everyone else's, it looks GREAT! I highly recommend this shield to protect the front of the hood! It fits fine and I didn't need to readjust the hood latch, mine closes with no additional effort.Great value for the money!

So this review is about my Amazon experience. I ordered this item twice and both time it arrived damaged. The box had literally been ripped in half and there was gravel & small rocks in the box that scratched the deflector. Tape was also coming off, making it unusable. I ordered a replacement and it was just as bad. Like they had dragged it behind the truck! Finally, I ordered it through Autozone…saved myself $42 and the box and deflector were in new condition when they arrived. Amazon took over a week (even with Prime) and Autozone had it to me in 2 days. Deflector itself is a quality product - easy to install and nice looking. This is the third vehicle we’ve purchased it for and couldn’t be happier with the no drill installation.

I gave it five stars, but I did find that the screws that came with it had very soft heads and I almost stripped one and did strip another, with very little pressure. One of the you tube videos suggests a tool to help take out the existing hood plugs, that I found very helpful.
