Generally used to have an easy access to the systems for vacuum, charging, pressure check up and other applications
Also known as Schrader valve, or American Valve
Consist of a valve stem into which a valve core is threaded. The valve core is a poppet valve assisted by a spring. A valve cap is important on a Schrader valve to avoid entering dirt and jamming it or contaminating the sealing surfaces and causing a leak. The valve cap provided comes with a core remover. Insert tubing or body into the corresponding size line or hole and braze into place with valve core removed during brazing

I didn’t need 10 but having 10 of something is always nice. Used to add hi and low ports for my Coleman Mach AC when the 410a went out and it he unit would freeze. Worked perfectly.

I purchased other stem ports from Amazon that were very poor quality but these are about as good as I can get from the local HVAC shop. The first ones I got when I tried to bend them with a tube bender they just crinkled, these will actually bend. The copper is thick enough just like the ones from the HVAC store that cost me about $25 for five of them

The quality seems good. I don't see how there is much room to go wrong as the construction of the valves is good.

Valves are epoxied and not brazed. However the epoxy is sturdy and stands up to brazing heat even if you don't wrap them with a wet rag. I abused one pretty badly as a test and it didn't blow off at 300 psi.Every single core was shipped a bit loose and leaking. Easy to deal with if you're expecting it.The copper is pretty thin walled and I don't know if it meets ASTM specs. I wouldn't use these on 410A and don't even think about using this cheap stuff with CO2.
