After 6 weeks of use, and so far they’re GREAT! Chickens took to them right away, and we’ve had zero problems with water infiltration from the AZ monsoon rains. the food stays nice and dry. Several other reviewers complained about food spillage, but I’ve had very little from my 5 bird flock as you can see in the picture.Instead of screwing them to the posts, I put them on a homemade hook system (bent nails with the heads snipped off). That way I can easily take them off for cleaning and repair.I had a slight water drip for the first day, but it stopped completely, and I have no water leaks at all. Also, the water in the tank stays pristine! The water in the cups has gotten some food bits in it early on, but even that is much less now. When I fill the tank, I just pour some water from the pitcher into the little cups, and it cleans them out just fine. This system holds enough food and water for several days for our birds, which is REALLY nice!! And so far maintenance has been non existent outside of cleaning the little water bowls out as I described.I obviously can’t speak to longevity yet, but so far I can’t say enough good things about them. GREAT system. For a matter of background, this is my second flock of chickens. My first flock was double the size, and I used the standard round hanging food and water buckets. They required constant maintenance and cleaning and my loss of food and water to spillage was a lot. These are FAR superior!

These made my life so much easier once my birds got big enough to use the feeder. There is a age/size restriction for the feeder due to smaller chicks/birds climbing inside. I never let the feed completely run out, but I would guesstimate 4 average size birds could eat for nearly a week. This set is a solid plastic with the parts to attach vertically to a wall or fence. These cannot be hung from a ceiling or rafter. The company replaced my cups within one day after contacting them waterer! The waterer worked perfectly for a few weeks then it leaked. Luckily my 12 week old birds were still inside my house and I noticed the following morning. Boy were they thirsty! I filled it up again thinking They tipped it somehow but it leaked again. I took it to my sink and refilled and tested, checked the small silicone gaskets and tightened the wing nut. Even looked at the instructions again thinking I did something wrong even though it's pretty straightforward. The company said it was likely the spring.. I think the issue is with the inner cups being removed repeatedly for cleaning. I removed them nearly every day and almost had to force them in because the outer cup fills with water and you must press pretty hard to squeeze the water out to get the inner cups back it. (And of course that water squirts on either you or the wall and makes the bedding a bit wet. Being able to remove the inner cup for cleaning is a good concept, but it didn't work out for me. Once I put on the new cups that the company sent so quickly, I plan to just wipe them out with a clean absorbent rag or paper towels. I had purchased this set and another cup waterer WITHOUT a removable liner by a different company to hang in the run all at the same time. So I had to use that until while I troubleshooted my problem. I simply wipe it out. So if the removable liner appeals to you, just know you may find it easier wipe the cup out and less risk of damaging the mechanism that stops the cup from continuing to fill and overflow. I still would recommend this set for value and practicality.

This is my second set, they work very well, both the feeder and the waterer for my chickens. Would recommend to anyone for their chickens.

We have multiple kinds of feeders and waterers but the chickens seem to love this set the best they are always empty first.

Hold lots, the chickens use it. What more could you want?
