Wow, a chicken feeder that doesn't leak. now mind you this is not for chicks. this is a great feeder not only for the chickens but for the dogs as well. bonus they send along a second float valve for when the first one gets nasty clogged, in Florida it will get clogged.simple to install with only 2 bolts, it comes with some but I used shorter ones. as it is against the wall the chickens don't climb on it. love the drain in the bottom so I don't have to remove it to clean. open the drain, wipe it out left it refill. it also made out of stainless so it will not rust over night.

I bought this to replace my old plastic chicken waterer. Great Quality, stainless steel and the water level can be adjusted. Nice size. Its large enough but not too big where the chickens would try to sit on the edge. Easy to clean. Mounted it right on the side of the chicken pen.

I did not like it because I can’t figure out how to plug the drain hole if it’s supposed to have a plug with it I didn’t get one and I cannot get a hold of anybody to find out

I had to dock one star from my reviewing because the insstructions included with the waterer are TERRIBLE. VERY basic and NO instructions on how to mount the waterer.

Have purchased 3 of these and while they are a great idea, they tend to be rather problematic in the parts. Floats don't always work and the 1/2" water pipe is not standard, so you can't replace just that one piece and while you can purchase additional ballasts you apparently cannot purchase a new water pipe.

I ordered this because of the picture of poultry using it. I did install it at the end of the line with water cups and the chickens would rather use this than the cups.It is easy to clean out and the float keeps it full. It is the right size to keep the chickens from perching on it.yet the sheep/lambs and dogs like to use it as well.I did think about using it for the pigs, but while it works for small sized feeder pigs, when they get larger they try to rip it off the post. and truthfully, a water source that the dogs and barn cats can use is more important as they do have their own water system
