This is great for when I go on vacation. I use it for my dogs and chickens. The only down side is I’m in southern AZ. When it snows it’s unusable due to freezing and when it’s hot the water gets boiling hot.

Since the weather temperatures been down to freezing or lower where I live, I haven’t bothered hooking these up that I bought yet. But just judging by looking at them, they least look well built. Hopefully they are and will hold up for a long time? I have 5 acres I live on with numerous dogs and other small animals that will be able to use these I hope? Plan on putting these at several locations around my property where the animals can get a drink of water without having to run to the other end of the property to get a drink. We spoil our animals, during the hot summer weather thry all get plenty of ice water.in bowls. Since we’re on well water I’m hoping these will have cold enough water feeding thru the garden hose that we won’t have to keep putting ice in their bowls any more? I will find out how well these work soon as the weather gets better! If I have any issues I will update my review. If I don’t update consider these as great water bowl that auto fill themselves!

Had to order a replacement because the float valve didn't close. Replacement didn't close, but it holds water so 2 stars for that

I bought this one specifically because the photos show that it has a threaded drain and the drain plug threads in from the bottom. When I got it, I was very disappointed to see that it did not in fact have a threaded drain, but a hole and a plastic drain plug that you need a tool to take off.Other than that major disappointment, it seems like every other Chinese livestock waterer. The only good thing about it was that it has a brass float valve, whereas many others use plastic.

Easy to mount after you remove the float flap. The problem we had in less than a week was the start of rust as I had to grab washers as the mounting slots/holes are larger than normal screw heads. I'll be buying stainless screws with larger heads and removing the existing screws and washers. Mounting it flat to the back creates a slight down slope, so if your float us set to fill to the brim, it will overflow. The float is easy to adjust, but it will lower the water level. It does work with no major adjustments, and as long as the float holds up to our hard water, it will do the trick.

Missing parts as expected but other than that great product with the exception when mounted it slopes down a bit but with a minor adjustment you can stop it from overflowing
