I got this for my cats. I had previously bought a couple of automatic cat water fountains, but always found them to be expensive and the cats have managed to break all of them in one way or another. So I had the idea, why not just replace the entire faucet with one that automatically turns on? And here we are.It looks kinda cheap. I'm using this in a bathroom that no-one else uses, I probably wouldn't buy this for my master bathroom. It has no ability itself to control the flow, it's full on or off, so I just keep the hot turned off and keep the valve on the cold turned down really low, so when it's activated it just trickles. The cats seem to like it, and it'll hold up a lot longer than a counter top cat fountain. Also, because it's battery powered and has water from the mains, if there is a power outage they will still be able to access fresh water, unlike the fountains which need electricity to run.
