Take care to not damage any wiring or introduce foreign matter when disassembling the MDPS assembly.
- Ensure all connectors are securely plugged in when reassembling.
- Do not use a hoist when removing the MDPS assembly. Keep the tires on the ground during removal and installation of the MDPS assembly.

My steering wheel was making a clunking noise every once in a while. My mechanic said it has to be that and after I did research I agreed. I tore everything apart in my car and found out that I do not have this coupler/gear thing! I know have the knowledge to take out a steering wheel. I guess that was worth my 3 hrs of work. HAHA

My dealership wanted $600 to install this in my 2014 Kia Optima and so I decided to install it myself. It was easy to install once I was able to get the old one out and has eliminated the knocking in my steering wheel entirely.

2012 Kia Optima had the steering wheel clunking issue. After some research, ordered this and it was a simple swap by my mechanic. Was delivered on time and properly packaged.Ps. Do your research to be sure this is the part you need that fits your vehicle and you'll be good.

My steering wheel was clicking like crazy since this little guy had disintegrated... I ordered the replacement part and changed it MYSELF! It's working great with zero issues after replacing it.

Easy to install. Perfect fit. Problem solved. Not a difficult repair. If you can use hand tools, you can do it. However, if you've never dropped a steering column before, get someone to help you. Overall, this is an excellent replacement part at a good price.
