If you're like me, you've probably done radiator flushes the same way your grandpa showed you yesrs and years ago. After all, it's free, you just dump it in the radiator and burp the system. This system makes it so you do not need to burp it at all - but it goes further than that. More and more cars for packaging reasons have made the top of the cooling system be somewhere other than the radiator. Because of this, it can be very difficult to work out the air bubbles, sometimes taking several heat/cool cycles. Worse, if you think you got all the air out, and you're driving down the road and start overheating, now you could be looking at a head getting warped.More than anything else though, this saves time. The setup takes a few minutes, and then another few minutes for the vacuum to draw in the coolant. The whole fill process took less time than doing a single fill/burp cycle.Also - it is cool to see the system draw so much vacuum that the coolant hoses quite literally shrivel up (It's supposed to). In a way, that itself is a good thing because if you had a marginal hose, you would rather it break now, then down the road.

Could it be better built, yes. Does it do what you want it to, yes. I don't own a car shop but I do maintain 5 vehicles. One recently required me to get this tool and even mechanics struggle to buy it for 150-200. This one is decent enough, value built and has all the accessories I needed

Returned for a different more expensive model with not 3 but 4 size rings Plus a rubber cone adapter.Because on my 90 Buick Century, the overflow tank is flimsy and couldn’t handle the vacuum there. So I had to vacuum at the radiator cap neck but even without the size rings, it was still too big to fit in the inner mouth of the opening.Otherwise one it seemed to work alright.You’ll want to super glue the 2 nice little rubber red grips on the wing valve. Because they fall off easily otherwise.It seems this is not designed to suck liquids(directions are for an empty system-just flushed etc).So if your system is already full of coolant, you’ll want to use like a Turkey baster to temporarily suck out a small volume equal to what would come up/out when the radiator hoses collapse under the vacuum.Otherwise it’ll spit the liquid coolant and have trouble bringing the vacuum down as low as prescribed.Then you can add the coolant back when vacuum is done, by shutting the valve and removing the compressor fitting and adding the add coolant hose fitting so it’ll get sucked right in when ready.

Works well for a cars with closed cooling system, ford, dodge.

Everything about this product was cheaply made and I couldn’t get it to hold vacuum. It has basic mechanical parts a Venturi just redirects are to create vacuum. All it has to do is be airtight and it couldn’t do that. I would advise you buy a different one

This works just as good as the ones that cost 150 or more great buy for anyone needing one

When I put the part on the reservoir it didn't seem to hold the pressure.
