I was excited to use this to consolidate our old Wii’s av connectors to work with our Samsung TV but it just doesn’t work.I tried to twist and tweak each connector including the back of the TV but it’s almost as if the wires are crossed inside.For example, the red audio connector makes the screen turn on but it’s all scrambled and makes a horrible audible noise.I tried removing both audio connectors (red &white) and kept just the yellow video connector plugged in but it’s completely black - no video at all.

Pro:- The wiring schema is as described (TRRS = Red/White/Ground/Yellow) and the 3.5mm plug is the correct size (standard 14mm length, not extended 17mm)Con:- Many times more expensive then the same product with alternate wiring scheme.After trying several different products that specify no or incorrect wiring info, finally stumbled across this item and am happy to report it is what is needed. TCL's "tech support" can't even provide the required information to buy this, they simply refer you to their authorized .ca parts vendor - who does not sell cables, period.Not certain that the cable's audio channels line up with the TV (Left could be Right, just swap them), but this might be the only item on the .ca site that has ground and video in the right place. The .com site has the same product for significantly cheaper, but shipping costs make it the same price if you have .ca Prime. Based on the 10+ day delivery time, this is likely being shipped from abroad (first tracking point was BC several days after purchase)

I triple checked after being burned before, and despite other reviews and the listing being very clear, the cable I got was absolutely wired incredibly wrong. TRRS=Yellow/White/Red/Ground is what I got, so obviously it didn't work at all. Very frustrating, does not work on a TCL tv which requires ground on the ring closest to the sleeve

Ordered for my dad's TCL TV but it not work. Just got some garbled sound and no video. Tried rearranging the RCA inputs to different colours but that still didn't work.

VERY HAPPY WITH THIS AV ADAPTER ! THE VHS TAPE GOING OVER TO HDMI ON THE TV LOOKS NOT TO BAD . ITS OUR ONLY HOPE FOR TRANSFORMING VHS TAPES . JIM H.
