Love this very crashable ride cymbal.I had the 16 and 18 inch crashes for almost 20 years and recently played a gig with all three and was so impressed the next day l bought the matching hihats. Don't tell my wife.

Sweet, crystaline ride. Heavier than the classic A, larger bell that will "bell" with minimum strike. Less wash than the A.

I could wax poetic about this cymbal: it has that glassy sound that has become a cliche when describing A Custom series cymbals. However, it also has a little wash that adds to the versatility in ways that some of the ping-style rides that Zildjian offers cannot. In fact, this is actually a ride I would take to a lightly amplified jazz gig - it's that good.The pitch is somewhat bright. What I mean is I expected slightly higher than how this cymbal actually sounds. That is not a bad thing because I like rides that are in the lower pitch range. Also, there is variation between and among these rides like within all Zidljian model lines, so mine may be one that is uncharacteristic of the model in general. What I do know is that this cymbal is easy to control, has a respectable bell and also crashes beautifully.Indeed, the bell has a much higher pitch than the ride area. It's large enough to project over most music, but is about medium in size (and sound) as far as bells on ride cymbals go. The crash characteristics are excellent. This cymbal responds to accents, shank hits and full crashes by quickly opening and medium sustain. If you are doing cymbal swells this will build a crescendo evenly.This cymbal is a good fit for classic rock, blues, country and Americana and alternative. It will also work in amplified jazz, especially fusion) and is versatile enough to fit just about any style for which you have the technique. This is an excellent alternative to the heavier, pingier rides that Zildjian offers in its A-series line.

Su zildjian? c’è poco da dire. Il costo vale tutto il suono che tirano fuori questi piatti. Gli A Custom sono pazzeschi.. per non parlare della finitura… Suono brillante e adatti se fai rock in primis e pop!Arrivato in ottime condizioni e nei tempi pre stabiliti

My kit is lovely - it's a Tama Hyperdrive, used for gigs in pubs and rehearsals. My cymbals have always been what I could afford - so my secondhand ride that didn't sound quite right was ripe for replacement. Everyone loves the A Custom cymbals, so I grabbed a reduced price and ordered. This cymbal has a very warm tone, with a bright (if sometimes less than super-loud) bell. Lots of sustain, and cuts through the guitar well. Very impressed.

The sound is crystal clear and when it opens it gives a rich sound with quite an extended sustainment!!!!
