I use bigger and high end Zildjian cymbals, I stumble upon this lower end china cymbal on sale so I order it and before it arrived I was considering returning it. When I mounted the cymbal out of the box it really surprised me. The dark china is pretty dry with a short and controlled decay, it has the same nice tone that the other Zildjian chinas project and i would definitely record with it!

The ride is nice; it pings consistently. Both crashes are light enough to get a full crash without much striking power. 16" crash is a good main crash. 18" crash is low and dies quickly.Main con: the edges of the cymbals are not rounded. They'll nick and tear up sticks more than other cymbals I've used, and the post holes of the crashes have chewed through the post sleeves after a week of moderate play. I fixed this by lightly sanding the edges with 800-grit sandpaper.

Over all the S darks are Just okay I quickly went from using the whole pack to just the 18 inch and the 20 inch ride. The hi hats are by far horrible to clunky and crashy not dry in the good way. The crashes are also not great the 16 inch is a pot lid the 18 inch isn't as bad.. usable for the price point and the 18in do give a unique tone to cut through other cymbals if you want that. The ride on the other hand is the only one that shines if you want an almost dead ride with a loud ping bell it's perfect and I can see most people just liking the ride. Tbh I'd just get the ride and China. The pack isn't worth it even though it's cheap you can just find better options even if you want a dry cheap sound.

Although beautiful and sturdy, they just don't resonate and the bell on the ride sounds crappy.I wrote to them and got no response.Would not buy again.
