I got this for my birthday and love it. I do rock painting and it helps so much. I can't see real well and the magnifier is great. Its helps me paint rocks and read small print. Am so happy my son got it for me . I highly recommend it.

I had my company order this light for our rework department and it is great in every way except where they placed the lighting controls. They are at the outer edge (see picture) where you most likely will grab the light to move or reposition it and inadvertently changing the brightness due to this bad positioning is a BIG problem . Other than that the light is great

I would not buy this product. This unit does NOT hold in place. What good is a magnifying lamp if you can not move it to a position and it will stay put. The spring system on this unit is too strong so it always moves. Spoke to their customer service folks and they told me to put weights on the top to hold it in position! Too bad, this is a nicely built product but useless.

I very much regret this purchase. Only the very center of the lens can be brought into focus, maybe 1/4 of the lens area at best. Everything outside that center portion is distorted like a funhouse mirror. My fault I guess because you can actually see this limitation in one of the pictures in the posting. Look carefully. When you do get your work in focus the lens is so close that there is very little working distance for even precision tools. On top of that, when you try to reposition the magnifier it fights you. If you loosen the knobs it just flops and doesn't hold position. If you tighten them its stiff and hard to move at all. If you're thinking of this lamp for critical precision work, forget it!
