For some binders, the "Zigzag treatment" used on the vinyl at binder hinges provides some better durability over time. This Avery binder has the zig-zag treatment. "Durable 'view'" may indicate that the transparent sleeves along the outside of the binder will not easily tear through from the binder.Initially, I thought this Avery "Durable View" binder would not work as well as a Wilson-Jones heavy duty binder for strength. The shallow, featureless mount is made of two thinnish metal strips, one has folded edges into which the lower one slides - it can be bowed (bent) with little effort. When empty, the clasps do not stay firmly in place when closed, can be moved apart and askew with light pressure.In particular, I was concerned about the clips loosening while moving 200 pages with protector sheets.I want to avoid dealing with loosened pages leaving the clips, pulling them out to re-stack them and rethread onto the clips. I put a fullish batch of pages, about 200 pages in protectors, into the binder, and it held respectably as I moved the pages to either side.
