These are firm enough to use for indoor practice but not so firm they will destroy things. They work great for pitching practice but could also be used for just playing catch or even batting practice.

I needed to find foam softballs that my daughter could use inside the house without destroying the walls when the weather did not permit her to be outside. I was hesitant to order these because they were so cheap compared to other brands. I will have to say that i was more than impressed with the quality when I received them! They are very realistic and true to size. even better, they can be used inside for hitting practice or pitching without destroying my basement walls! We have had them for a few months now and with consistent use, the ball is still completely intact without any blemishes. These foam balls have been a lifesaver to my daughter during the cold winter months in New Jersey when she can’t get outside to practice!

Nice balls for beginners who might be a little scared of the ball. Honestly kind of hard to catch though since they are a little bouncy but that's expected. Work great for batting practice around the house because they won't damage anything. Apear to be holding up well after several months of use.

I bought these thinking they would be close to the feel of the soft compression balls my kids are using at their softball clinic. Unfortunately these are super light weight foam. They are great for hitting practice but are so light weight that they bounce right out of their softball gloves.So definitely look for something heavier and denser for catching and fielding.

I bought these for the U11 softball team I coach. They are great for hitting practice for the kids. I use the girls to shag balls so no worry in them getting hurt if they get hit. The balls are very soft so even if the pitcher is close and gets hit it won’t hurt.
