This is a polyester cloth background. I’m guessing they are sublimating the images onto the fabric. The one I received was vibrant and awesome. I unfolded it and ironed it so that it was flat. Then I took a sheet of black foam core posterboard and cut it to the size of my terrarium back wall. I used a spray adhesive and coated the foam core posterboard then laid the image on top and pressed it all flat. I trimmed off the excess polyester as I ordered a size slightly larger than what I needed. Then I just taped the foam core posterboard to the outside back of my tank. It looks amazing and was very affordable. I would definitely buy more in the future.

I used this for my ballpythons terrarium and it works perfectly. Good quality fabric and clear double sided stickys make this easy to install and hassle free. It goes on the outside of the terrarium so it doesn't get all funky or need to be cleaned half as often. The finessing are exactly as described. I highly recommend these

My son saved up his money to buy this background for his tank for his toads. This completely transformed the look of his tank and he loves it. It was a tiny bit long for our size tank so I just used some Velcro pieces to fold it over and secure to itself to fit to the tank. The background is made of a fabric so it’s a bit more durable than paper would have been and I don’t worry about it getting damaged if it gets water on it. It’s vibrant in color and really made the tank look so much cooler.

I was expecting a plasticy material like the stuff most aquarium backgrounds are made of so I tried using adhesive to glue it to the back of my aquarium that didn’t work. I ended up using scotch tape to stick it on (after cutting to size which isn’t as hard as some reviews say it’s just fabric it cuts easy with scissors) I used the tape to stretch the parts I goofed up on so it fit perfectly considering my cut wasn’t perfectly straight. It’s not very vibrant like order material’s would be after using the adhesive glue so that’s a little disappointing but overall not a terrible product.

I don’t even know where to start with this one. I guess I should start by saying, I don’t even really think this should be considered an aquarium background. First off, it is made of some type of stretchy thin material. It’s like a perfect storm of bad decisions if this was made for fish tanks. The material makes it almost impossible to get it to stay mounted/taped to the back of the aquarium because tape don’t stick to material. Also, like I said, it’s stretchy material, so getting it cut to the exact measurements you need is a job in itself. Now that job is becomes even more of an issue because this material don’t cut very well with scissors. So if cut with scissors it almost has to be stretched to get a cut, which causes the cuts to be messy. Also the edges of this material starts fraying very easy after a cut is made. Sooo, using a strait razor becomes the best way to cut it, but that razor also wants to push the stretchy material before it cuts making the cuts not that much better than the scissors. These aren’t even made to fit specific size aquariums either. You just got to order what ever size is just larger than the aquarium back and cut it to fit your tank specifically. And even after all of this, you are still left with the situation I mentioned earlier with figuring out a way to get it to stick to the back of your tank without looking like dog poop with tape wrapped around the back sides of the tank. I guess if you had a rimmed tank, you could take off the top and bottom rim, glue the top and bottom of the backing to the top and bottom edges of glass, then remount the plastic aquarium rims. But no, that’s way too much effort for a background that seems like it wasn’t designed to be a background in the first place. As for the image quality, it is lacking, mostly because it printed on this crap material. And partly because most people are used to seeing the crisp images that gos on high quality plastic/vinyl backing. So in comparison, yes this looks rather blurry up close. But that’s when you want that image quality. You want it while somebody is up close and looking into the aquarium. I’m trying to think of a good reason why somebody should buy this for their tank. Nope, I can’t come up with one good reason or redeeming factor that would make this purchase ok. Not one. There is just way too many things wrong with this product. Definitely one of the times you should trust all the bad reviews. Peoples complaints here are all valid. I mean, I guess if you ever run out of toilet paper, “you could use this background to wipe your backsideâ€. Other than that, it would make a nice gift for your enemies.

I love it. Makes my torotise enclosure look so cool! I love how it's a nice cloth material because you can reuse it over and over again snd not worry about it being damaged. Buy some command double sided tape and you're good to go. It came with some tape but I used the double sided tape I have bc i think it holds better thsn the ones they give you. Will buy again one day but different design!!

Using these for toy display backgrounds. Works great inside of a shelf. Either cut off excess if it doesn’t fit, or fold underneath.

It is absolutely beautiful! Difficult to cut because it’s material and also leaves a small fringe where it’s been cut but wow! It looks amazing once it’s on! I didn’t use the stickers that it came with though. I used alien tape (a small square) on each corner and in the middle on top and bottom to hold it in place. I’ve had no issues at all!
