It is made in Switzerland! It is a rain hat, not some chocolate! Sturdy, thick - not flimsy material and it has a soft and warm lining which is great for the cold rainy weather. The rain hat I have been looking for to cover my head and neck as I do not wear a rain coat. I got the black one. I would love to see a light pastel colors like blue, pink, yellow, sage. Quick delivery in time for a bad weather as I go out to see a Broadway show. One thing I don't really like is the brand name in white print on the black straps. Wish it was plain black straps.

This hat is good looking and effective. Longer back keeps rain off hair and neck. Rain does not penetrant. Ties keep it in place. If you live in a rainy area and are serious about staying dry, this is your hat.

I work outside every day, so occasionally, I have to deal with rain and sometimes snow. Other rain hats I've bought blocked my view, making it hard to see side to side. Not with this hat. I love the long brow in the back and the ear covers. The quality of this is great, too; it should last a long time.

The wind and rain can blow. Buckled down you will stay dry. The style is both timeless and functional.My only complaint was the material. Yeah, I know, it’s the 21st century. Plastics. I would have preferred a good, heavy canvas duck. Doesn’t seem to be offered today so this will have to do until I can find a surplus one on the auction site.Worth the money, especially if you don’t mind the fabric.

Pros: Its comfortable! The inner lining is soft and very warm! It has ear flaps that insulate the ears well, its not heavy or awkward to wear, looks cool too. Thin chin strap is very handy when its windy. The brim sufficiently keeps the rain out of your face. Doesn't ruin your peripheral vision the way a hoodie does. Cons: After wearing it in a storm at work for 8 hours...It got heavy from absorbed moisture, even the inside just a bit. Took a long time to dry out. Not 100% water proof for long duration in the rain. But its great for short time out in the rain. I DO recommend it1 Great rain hat.

It’s a great looking hat and it’s water proof, of course. I’ve already worn it once during a downpour and not only was I dry, I was stylin’. I looked like a Maine fisherman on the deck of a fishing boat, or on the wrapper of frozen fish sticks.

I took this hat to Ireland and wore it in the rain. It kept me warm and dry! I love the soft warm lining, the ear flaps and chin strap to keep it on in the wind. I was the only one in our group to stay totally dry on my head! Great hat!

Bought this to go with my yellow rain mac, it’s just the ticket. Made of 100% polyester rather than oilskin, making it softer and cosier. Brilliantly designed with wide brim that’s longer at the back to keep rain off your neck and ear flaps to keep out the wind. The inside is lined with a thin, soft fleece which doesn’t add bulk but is lovely and cosy, even the ear flaps are fleece lined. The stitching on the hat really is beautifully done, is very decorative and it’s completely waterproof even in the wildest weather. I’ve got a fairly standard sized head and it fits beautifully. There is a ribbon and toggle which keeps the hat very firmly in place, but as another reviewer mentioned the ribbon really is too wide for the toggle so it’s a bit difficult to adjust but once it’s on it really is budge proof. It’s not the cheapest out there, but it’s very fairly priced considering the quality, well worth the investment and should last a lifetime.
