READ THIS BEFORE BUYING:I bought this for my 2006 Mercury Mountaineer V6 AWD but turns out this is not the right seal even though Amazon shows this is correct for my yr/make/model. A few years ago, Ford/Mercury updated to a new seal # after complaints that the replacement was not holding right and continued to make the axle shaft leak.If you are replacing a rear outer (passenger side) axle seal for a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer or Ford Explorer, then look for OEM Part # 7L1Z-4A109-D (8.8 axle).This is the correct part according to the Ford even though Amazon said it doesn't fit, it does. Dealer price is $45, Amazon is about $30-$31.

I ordered 2, the part pictured is the part I needed, I received one and it wasn't even they part pictured. Completely wrong

Only one seal shows several seals poor description doesn't specify anywhere that it's only one seal. This is why people are Leary of internet purchases
