Although I have only used it a time or two I like the size of the scale as you can weigh larger items. Additionally, it can accommodate fairly heavy weight.

I’ve owned a previous iteration of this scale for many years, and used it for everything from Cookery to weighing mail to make sure I apply the correct postage.Scales like this are essential for baking. If you aren’t weighing your ingredients while baking it is just a matter of time before you run into a recipe for disaster!I love the idea behind having a rechargeable scale, or even just using it plugged in. But be aware of TWO specific things- A. It doesn’t come with a plug, so you’ll need to buy one or use another devices USB plug. B. I am fairly certain that the included batteries are NOT rechargeable batteries. Do NOT plug this in unless you used the correct batteries.I do understand why, rechargeable batteries are expensive and this scale is reasonably priced for what it is. Would have I paid $5 more if they came with it? No, and neither would the average person. Amazon is like eBay, we all filter on “Sort by Cheapestâ€, lolThat all being said, it’s a great scale and worth the price.Just don’t plug it in until you check to see if the Batteries are actually rechargeable.( I did not receive this item free in exchange for a review. You can trust my reviews due to that key point alone)

I purchased this because the font on the display was bigger. This is a great scale! I now find myself weighing items I hadn't previously because of the variety of measurement units available. I've had this a few months and haven't had to change batteries or plug it in at all. Wipes clean easily. Get this one!

This is a very small scale. You can see it atop a standard piece of 8 ½†X 11†copy paper in the attached photos. At first look, I was happy with the small profile. However, for me, this causes a big negative.The digital weight panel is on the top panel, and is only visible when uncovered. I weighed a bigger item, hoping that when I removed it, the scale would display the weight, at least for a few seconds. It did not—the weight instantly jumps to 0, which leaves 2 options. One is to weigh items that fit on the flat part of the scale (6†wide x 5 ¾†tall—it has curved ends that I subtracted in the calculation). The second option, for larger things would be to create a flat, bigger base platform atop the weighing surface, which leaves the readout window viewable. You’d then need to zero the weight and stack your items atop your base for weighing. ( I have another scale that has a readout that can be pulled away from the scale to prevent this sort of problem.)The surface of the scale is not removable for cleaning. The display is on the top surface, and looks to have thin gaskets surrounding, but I’d say dry- or damp-cleaning only.The scale runs on 2 AAA batteries (included), and has foot pads to prevent slipping. The weight window is brightly lit, which is a nice feature. You can set the weight to grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds, fluid ounces, and milliliters—a great range for weighing all sorts of things, up to roughly 33 pounds (which beats most scales). I compared the accuracy to my other reliable scale, and this too is totally accurate, matching every item I tested.In short, this scale has many great things about it (especially for this price), but having to build a weighing platform, or only weigh small items, is a dealbreaker for me.
