Really convenient being able to buy this straight on Amazon. I was paying by the foot and it was costly. I use 0.50 and 0.75 in large figurines and this makes it affordable. Really good light transmission and I use Elmer’s quick dry glue instead of super glue.

I just needed a few small pieces for a DIY project box and buying 164 ft of fiber seemed like a lot, but after seeing the results I have no regrets. The cable fits in a 2 mm hoie (I printed my box in both PLA and PETG) and the LED light coming from SMD LEDs is brought to the surface of the box with small pieces of this fiber optic cable. It looks great.

I use this 1mm along with other diameters to light my models. Works great. I wish it was a bit more flexible but it’s still workable. If it was more flexible I would have given it 5 star.
