Recently bought a new YZ125 with 1.4 hr on it. The default adapter that's directly on the hose is perfect, first time using it doing a cold test, finger tight only as suggested in manual. Ran 3 test to get an average, kicked it about 20-25 times each until the psi will not go any higher, came out to 175-180 PSI. will not be using it that frequently, but so far so good, love the backlit, easy to read, the storage case is not bad (good enough). Seems to be pretty consistent.One thing I do not understand in the manual, it says to use long reach adapter for deep reach hole, but do not use long reach adapter if non deep reach hole, may cause damage to piston. The thread length on the deep reach adapter is the same as the adapter that's directly on the hose, and the length is still noticeably shorter than the spark plug, so how can that cause piston damage???? confusing.Overall, I think this is perfect for what I need at a great price.

It kept reading 80 psi no matter what I tried. Eventually figured out I had to tighten the internal valve on the end of the hose. Used a schrader valve stem tool. Now it reads accurate and works well.Good tool just a few QA problems from the factory.

Used to test compression on a 1967 Johnson outboard and it worked just as well as $400 "professional" tester my diesel mechanic neighbor uses.

The pressure release valve was bad out of the box. I'm glad that I questioned it and diagnosed it or I would have thought a good chain saw needed a rebuild. This kit is not worth the money or time. I had to disassemble this unit and pressurize it to see it was leaking down prior to the gauge. Poor quality.

Bought to test an engine on a new (old) motorbike project, to know where I stand before pulling it apart. Works great, and cannot believe how cheap these are! Worked extremely well, and was worth the price just for peace of mind. I have a similar product for diesel engines, which connects via the injector and it cost a lot more than this petrol one. Highly recommended.

Kit came within a day as promised. all parts in case and no damage. Used it right away on two chainsaws. Worked perfectly, no issues. Good value for the money.
