About this item

  • Boxed design - All of our pouches have an interior plastic lining to give them a box shape that won't sag. Unlike other pouches that are sewn at a point, the box design keeps the pouches open, accessible and prevents tools from poking holes through the bottom.

Air Channels

Patented Memory Foam Back-Support Pad

  • High quality memory foam is ergonomically molded and shaped to provide support and long-term comfort.
  • The molded air-channels allows for airflow under the belt to prevent overheating and reducing sweating.
  • The inside material is an ultra-breathable Lycra fabric that further promotes air flow.
  • Measures 8" at the widest part of the back support and tapers down to 3" at the front.

Reinforcement

Riveted & Bar-Tack Stitched

  • Every stress point along the pouches and belt is secured with bar-tack stitching and reinforced with metal rivets.
  • Every pocket opening has an extra layer of heavy-duty nylon webbing to prevent wear on the pouches

Boxed Design

Boxed Design

  • The pouches and pockets are designed to take on a "box" shape to maximize space and accessibility.
  • The main compartment of each pouch has a plastic reinforcement sewn into the material to prevent it from ever losing its shape or collapsing.
  • The boxed design keeps smaller items more accessible by removing difficult to reach crevasses caused by classic "envelope" style stitching that comes together at a point.

Double Metal Buckle

Leather-Tipped Belt

  • The main belt used features a genuine leather tipped end to increase strength, durability and to prevent holes from ever ripping out.
  • The double metal buckle makes for an extremely secure fit.

Suspender Ring

Metal Suspender Rings

  • Heavy-duty nickel plated steel suspender rings to allow for easy attachment of suspenders.
  • Fits all standard four-point suspenders on the market.
  • The rings are sewn into the belt at three points per ring across the width of the belt, making it nearly impossible to ever rip out. Even when fully loaded!

Carrying Handles

Carrying Handles

  • The belts have convenient carrying handles to make for easy transportation of the belt when not being worn.
  • These also aid in putting on and removing the belt, making your job easier!
  • They are attached to the belt with heavy duty metal rivets reinforced with bar-tack stitching.

B102 Top

Designed For The Trade

  • The Gatorback Pouches on each of our combo's are designed for their specific trade.
  • We continuously work on updating designs and making the pouches the best fit for current needs.
  • The pouches can be removed or rearranged on the belt to allow you to set up your rig to what works best for you!

Sizing

Fitted Belts

  • Fitted belt (not one size fits all) means the back support and comfort is built specifically for YOU. Not just a generic foam pad.
  • This reduces unwanted excess material on your belt that would otherwise be hanging, cut off or folded over.
  • Having a belt that's made to fit a specific size increases comfort and utility! Just like anything else, getting a size that fits you makes for a better experience!

After receiving this a few days early I immediately began messing with the configuration of the pouches. The back extra pocket is a lot bigger in person than I expected so bare that in mind. I placed that extra pocket in the center of the back of the belt and just skipped that belt loop and slid the two side pouches as close to the back while remaining in between the the belt loops and I found this worked best for me. By doing that I didn’t have room for the spare hammer holder. But that shouldn’t be a problem. I also found out that the tape holder has two vertical straps on the back of it and the belt loop fits perfectly in between the straps. That way you don’t have to worry about the tape holder falling off anytime you take the belt off. The size and fit of the belt is very accurate. I’m 6’3” 215lb’s and I wear a size 34 so I ordered the medium and the middle holes are perfectly comfortable for me I could even go down the the second hole if the pouch becomes to heavy and still be comfortable. The back support feels really good like you know that the belt is not going anywhere or going to slidding around. Don’t feel like I’ll need the suspenders. Like previous comments stated the pockets hold open themselves and the belt stands when you set it down so you don’t have to worry about your tools falling out all of the time unless you’re careless with it.All in all this seems like a high quality belt that feels like it will withstand the use and abuse of commercial construction.I’ll try to add photos in a few days.

Excellent quality! More rigid and more durable fabric than most of the "big name" ones that cost as much or more, and the back support/padding is wonderful. Being able to get the right size of belt makes all the difference. Most other companies "one size fits most" approach where you fold the pad under and just deal with it makes it much less comfortable. I measured my waist with just a t shirt and was at 32" (I wear my tool belts just above my pant belt) so I went with the medium. Turns out it was barely too big. I emailed the seller and they had an email back in 30 minutes and the small belt shipped the next day. Looking at the size chart, I was worried that the small wouldn't be big enough but they explained the belt would be about 4" shorter. The small that arrived was 3 1/4" shorter and fits perfect. With no extra layers I have one set of belt holes more I could tighten if needed and plenty larger to layer up. If you are in between sizes just email them and they will help out. Having them offer to exchange the belt at no cost if needed really made me comfortable with a large purchase even though I didn't have a retail store close to try them on. The only improvement I would recommend is the Velcro placement on the belt pad/bags. This seems to be a problem with many other manufacturers also. There is a 1 1/2" strip of hook on the pad and a 2" strip of loop on the bags, but they don't line up correctly when the weight of the bags are pulling down. The belt stays centered on the pad due to the loops (which is great...it doesn't sag) but you end up with only 1/2" of connection for the Velcro. If you lift the bag up in the middle of the Velcro, I feel it will start creeping down since the belt is not touching the top of the channel in the bag. Again, most other belt/bag manufacturers seem to also have this so it is not a huge deal, just a recommendation to improve. I will likely just sew another strip of loop on the bags. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and the great customer service.

What can I say, my husband loves it, and I love watching him wear it. I bought it in a size XL. I took measurement and that was the size recommended for his measurements. It wasn’t quite as snug as he would have liked, with the added weight of the tools it would have caused the dreaded ‘plumbers crack’. We live close to where these are made so instead of exchanging through the mail he just drove down and swapped out sizes in person. He didn’t want to let it out of his sight after he got his hands on it, not even for an exchange. He says it’s comfortable to wear, very durable, the pockets on it can be moved around so he can put the tools exactly where he wants to reach for them. The pouches are a good size, he kept saying how the whole belt just really makes sense the way the whole thing is put together and that it’s the best tool belt he’s ever had. Even I was impressed with how well built this belt is.

I just received the belt and wanted to do review on sizing and another review later on the belt as time goes on but far as sizing goes. I wear size 30 pants and there snug on me and don't need a belt. I measured my waist like they say to do and it measured 33.5 just above my waist where I like to wear my tool belt. I got a small after reading reviews and glad I did because the small fits good with 2 set of holes to go tighter and 2 sets of holes to go bigger in winter with extra clothes. So hopefully this will help if your wondering about what size to get. The belt is really comfortable and seems really well but I will say one thing I'm not fan of is the smaller pockets are kinda small and hard to get your hand. The bigger ones are alright and easy to access stuff inside them. This is just my first impressions and will update in couple months of wearing it.

Stands up very well to contractor abuse. Disperses the weight perfectly. I love NOT having a sore back and hips at the end of the day

Great sturdy and comfy belt, but I must say is bulkier than what the pictures make it look like. Perfect framing belt, but not so much for an everyday jack-of-all-trades type of guy that goes in and out of suites all day. -Maybe should've gone with the electrician belt instead- Or expect some rubbing on tight hallways (or freshly painted stairways fml) for example as you suddenly gain a foot + of body width, and I'm already a pretty small size waisted cat (32"). For that reason I contemplated re-sale or return but it's actually so handy and comfy, I just walk with caution. Suspenders are a must-have with this belt in my case. I bought a Klein set of suspenders on Amazon to go with this belt (because I thought the Gatorback was overly priced). The Klein works perfect with it and also comfy, one size fits most (Im 5'10" and room to adjust even tighter or much longer. One more thing is (with all belts I've been looking at also), I wish the hammer loop was positioned on the front right pocket (instead of back right) but I'll get used to it I think. The back one I'll never use but I guess you could reconfigure the pockets and attachments almost however you please.Sorry to Gatorback to be such a tough critic but it is a very expensive item and I wished somebody had wrote this kind of review before I bought it.Overall though I must say it is a high quality product and I am happy with it.
