The lock side is only one way locking. If you put it on backwards, which you can just fine and it seems fine, then it will be able to be pulled right off the end. My grandson is always opening the fridge and leaving it open. This helps to keep him from getting into the fridge. It is easy to use, it fits well on the fridge doors, and it is durable - even when the toddler is pulling on the doors.

We use these on our kitchen under-sink cabinet where we have cleaning supplies and on our living room tv stand. These are super easy to use and our littles can’t figure them out. HOWEVER, it is important that you have the security piece facing the right way or else it’ll slip off when they try to open the cabinets. But as long as you use it properly, it works great! It’s simple, so it doesn’t impede on time spent opening a cabinet, really.

I bought these for cabinets throughout the house to keep my toddler from getting into them! They worked wonderfully, but the quality seems to be a little less sturdy than others I have bought in the past! The plastic is flimsy or what causes it to be more difficult to close it off, so it takes a little more time than I would like for it too! But all in all the quality is great, because my toddler is unable to take it apart!

I thought this would be a hassle taking off, putting on, taking off...however, it is lightweight and takes a quick second. And, most importantly, IT DOES THE JOB! The toddler in my home can no longer get into the cabinet.
