The scale works as it should and can be used with or without the tray or platform so it is like an oversized kitchen scale that can be useful for lots of weighing needsThe parts are injection molded with no splay (flaws created when the raw plastic has too much moisture content), flash (plastic that is pushed out at the seams of the molds), or other visual flawsThe surface is nice and smoothI can recommend this scaleThere are no cons that I can see

This is the perfect helper to track newborn's growth. The scale takes a measurement quickly, which is so important with a wiggly newborn. It is accurate - I tried a solid object on this scale, and compared it to my old scale. It's within a few tenths of our doctor's scale as well.This can be used for small pets as well, which may be a useful feature for some. The baby tray can be removed, and this can be used as a standing scale as well. That's helpful for younger kids - only up to 66 lbs.
