I run a middle school textiles class and these are the primary reeds we use for our basket weaving unit. Lightweight reeds that are nice and flexible after a brief soak.

Very sturdy but the bamboo is very stiff and somewhat difficult to basket weave with.

The strips are so stiff, I can't wrap them around the table legs like I planned. I tried soaking it in hot water but it didn't seem to help. I wish I could send it back, but I didn't keep the return envelope or packing.
