Deal with Bamboo
First, cutting the bamboo, then we boiled the bamboo in water for high temperature disinfection to avoild insects. Second, we turned over a fire for several days before it enters the drying process.
Making the fountain
Each fountain is a hand-carved, which means every piece is one of a kind.
The last step, we use the good quality painting to paint on the bamboo to protect it from going moldy outdoor or always with the water.

What Spout Size Do You Need?
Spout size refers to the horizontal length (the part that rests on the container) rather than the height. Since the spout should be placed on the edge of the container, the base does not need to fit across the center of the pot. I revamped a water fountain that I have using this spout, and it looks wonderful! Water is no longer splashing everywhere, and the sound is soothing. It was easy to install, works great, and I've even gotten compliments on how nice it looks in our entry.

I have tried similar bamboo fountains, and inevitably the water starts to run under the lip of the spout, along the supports and drain the water all over the surface it is sitting on. They all split, and they all develop black mold and algae that is hard to clean out of the cracks and pores of the bamboo. Coating this with resin, or whatever they use to seal it solves all of these problems. Granted the glossy look is not as attractive as the nature look, but it is so much easier to clean, and I have lots of spare pumps from the natural ones that fell apart.I have two issues though: 1. The spout is not attached to the cross bars, so it tends to want to turn when being installed. It takes some trial and error each time I clean it, to get the tubing adjusted to the pump so it stays in place. This may be deliberate, as I have found with models that are glued to the support often start to leak at that juncture.2. It is very lightweight. I use it as a fountain for my cats, and they could easily knock it off the edge of the bowl if they drink out of the spout. I solved this by putting a couple of pretty rocks on each side of the spout to stabilize it.Overall, while I expect this one to last awhile, I would order another one when the time comes. Easy to clean and nicer to look at than most cat fountains, which can be pretty pricey.

I looked far and wide for one like this and I finally found it here! I didn't need a pump, so this was perfect! Just what I wanted! The item looks great and great workman ship! I took my pump and hooked it all up and it is working great and looks wonderful! Thank you so much for offering one without the pump! luv it, luv it, luv it. AND the lovely little flower is beautiful!update: some other reviewers on here need to learn how to leave reviews. Their bad review is completely inadequate and wrong, not fair to this beautiful fountain.update: I've had mine now for three years and it's still working fine.

I had expected not to receive a pump from previous reviews but had one already which easily attached and it worked well. My only concern is the very strong chemical smell that forced me to leave the bamboo outside for days.

Love love love this bamboo water fountain. The price was excellent and it doesn’t come with a pump but you can buy one on Amazon 50 gallons per hour for under $20.00. This manufacturer laucqered the bamboo and this is what a lot don’t do and the tell you to give it a clear coat once a year but this supplier did it well I don’t think I would need to lacquer or spray a clear coat for a long time. Looks beautiful and I use it it outside and love the sound of the water hitting the rocks at the bottom of the bowl. I am going to order more as soon as they have more stock as these would be great gifts for friends and family with outdoor gardens or be used inside.
