I usually like to solder everything but these banana plugs with their set screws didn't need soldering at all. They were nice and secure.

Great little banana plugs! I used these to connect to a Fosi amplifier and they fit nice and snug and the install was very easy. Highly recommend.

I used these for my new speakers and stereo. They are too tight initially, and have to be compressed to push in.Also one out of twelve cross threaded when I tightened the wires.

I was looking for some budget friendly but high quality made banana plugs for my budget audiophile setup. I used them on my Fosi V3 amplifier and the Elac Debut 5.2 speakers and they fit perfectly! The plugs are made very well. I don't know much about banana plugs as these are my first experience with them. They are easy to use, I use 14awg speaker wire and I found that I needed to back out the two set screws almost all the way to fit the wire in. So if you are going to use larger wire, you will probably have to remove the set screws which are very small so be careful. They do create a nice connect and feels really solid, I plugged on it to see and it would pull out of the banana plug hole before the speaker wire ever pulling out of the banana plug itself. So I feel good about that.I did also test the continuity to see if the outer shell is conductive and thankfully it is not HOWEVER, for whatever reason the engraved logo was conductive and could cause a short but it's pretty unlikely, I wasn't worried about it and if you are...a little bit of electrical tape or heat shrink that would solve it.Overall, really nice plugs and I would buy again. In fact, I might buy more to add them to my home theater setup!I recommend these.

These worked great for me. I'm using thin gauge wire and was a little worried these wouldn't hold well but they're just fine. They provide a very strong connection with two set screws per plug. Heavy gauge wire would be no problem. They're functional, look good, and the price was excellent.

Initially, I thought these banana jacks were super high quality. While they are nice, the metal is a bit soft.I used 14-gauge wire, stripped, and then tinned the wire with solder. After inserting the wire into the jacks, I had trouble screwing the two set screws all the way down in order for the outer jack cover to be installed. I broke two of the set screws and had to file them down flush in order for the outer cover to fit. While some people might think this really isn't an issue (don't tin the wire), tinning gives the most secure connection, in general. So, be forewarned. Either don't tin your 14-gauge wire or use a smaller gauge, which I personally don't recommend. They will work, but I will not be able to remove the jacks and won't be ordering these again.
