I picked up some of these giant rubber bands awhile ago at a grocery store but they broke so, of course, I looked to Amazon for replacement and they came thru. This is a package of six different sized rubber bands - perfect sizes for my big kitchen trash can and my very small bathroom one. They seem quite sturdy, were reasonably priced and arrived in a reasonable time frame. Would definitely purchase again.

Update: am using them now to secure over a huge bowl as I am staining fermenting apples to make apple cider vinegar. These bands make straining so much easier!I’ve now used them to:1. Apple cider vinegar straining using band over large stainless steel pot.2. To hold my crock pot lid on while transporting soup.3. over the trash cans in the kitchen-been using the same two bands over a year.4. made homemade chicken stock and these secured over the 23 quart presto pressure cooker, holding my cheese cloth under the band. We were able to successfully stain out the bones and veggies.5. Holds an ice pack over your foot or arm beautifully when in a pinch.6. Wraps around a folder to keep lose bills inThoughts: I honestly don’t know how people strain a huge pot over a cheese cloth without one of these.I will also never go back to an unsecured trash can. These held pounds of apple cores. They held 10 chickens bones and carcasses in my trash can so I could keep working without stopping to change my trash bag or fix it. Bags are about 7-13 cents each and I appreciate being able to get more use out of them now.

These work great! Keeps the trash bag from falling down into the trash can or trash getting all over the outside of the bag. Easy to use!

I just got these bands. There are 3 large and 3 small bands. The large bands will only fit very large outdoor-type cans. The smaller bands fit our tall kitchen cans well and the smaller bathroom cans well. Not sure how we’ll use the large bands yet. Time will tell on durability and sturdiness. I discovered that you can get large bands at OfficeMax and Office Depot so I will probably look there before buying these again. Very expensive for 6 rubber bands.

I lost some rubber bands for my garbage can. They are strong and nicely fit. I am very happy with them. 😄

I always had a problem of the trash bags going into can when i put something heavy in them.I saw the grippers(or similar thing) at grocery store.Bought them on a whim and they worked well. Eventually the band breaks but it takes awhile. They hold the bag well and makes things much easier. Not very expensive.I know it is only a big "rubber band" but i think it is worth the price.
