I used this Mylar sheet to cut out a shape to form a funnel for a small fan that blows some extra cool air into my iMac desktop computer. The material is easy to cut with a box cutter knife using a metal ruler and making two or three passes. Where I wanted to fold, I used the same knife to score but with only one pass and with less pressure. Previously, I had drawn a template on the computer, printed on paper and laid over the Mylar sheet for the precision cuts.

I bought these to make a stencil. I tried several settings on my Silhouette cutting machine but could NOT cut through them! If you need something thick, this is for you!

I started doing Diamond art. I wanted to mount the canvas on something and have it be backlit in my frame. This is the perfect thickness for this purpose.

I wanted these to make some stencils. Thick enough, but definitely hard to see through if you're trying to trace something.

TL:DR I used this to replace the plastic part in the Xbox elite 2 controller's bumper. 3 months later it works great!!!Anyone who knows, knows the Elite 2 series sadly has the same problem of the left and right bumper/s not working over time. Over the process of elimination. Husband and I discovered (at least in his case) it was because the stupid little plastic piece between the bumper button and plastic tip pressing ito it, wore down/got intents. So I started to look up to see if they solid just those plastic pieces, NOPE. My only options were to Buy the paddles so he can customize one of them to act as a pseudo bumper button, for $10 or up (price varies if you get official or non official). Buy the whole replacement part for $16. Or buy a complete new controller which will have the same problems again, $60-100...Eventually I realised I could just find sheets of thin plastic. Found these stencils, convinced husband we should get cuz it will work, and I was right! It's been 3 months now with NO problems whatsoever. The original plastic piece was 5.5mm, I got the 7.5mm. Just so had just a bit more of a chance not to indent as soon. These sheets will last me the rest of the lifespan of this controller.

Absolutely loved these! I bought these sheets to make my own journaling stencils and they came out beautifully. Some reviews mentioned being too thick; I think 7mil is the right thickness for long lasting stencils. I cut them with the Cricut maker 3. The trick is to add a new customized material with pressure at 350 and 6x passes. It is a thicker material so expect the Cricut to take some time cutting; I did not use a deep cut blade, I used the fine cut with the above settings and it worked great.

I used it for making patterns pieces for my stuffed toys. You can see thru it to accurately copy the pattern. My marker didn’t smudge on it. They were easy to trace your pieces on the material
