I just received the collars and they seem to work well and appear solid. They are quick and easy to use. Have several bars slightly smaller than1 inch diameter and the quick adjustability of these are a big plus. These seem expensive, but if they are durable enough to last for years I will be pleased. 1 inch collars for these slightly smaller bars are a real pain in the butt. So far so good, if they 'break' I will rewrite this.

Out of all the collars I have used, these are most sturdy. They hold the weight very well even being able to hold back 40 pounds on each side. However, their quick unlock tab makes me weary to use them without a spin lock as well. It is too easy to brush up against the quick release tab when you are setting up a lift for dumbbell press or overhead press. I actually had this happen to me when doing dumbbell press with 30 lbs on each side and thankfully the side that came off was on the outside so the weight dropped on the floor instead of me!I think these are great used in conjunction with spin locks to hold them in place and prevent the spin lock collars from coming undone. Or for movements like bent rows or an ez curl bar where there is no risk of hitting the quick release tab.Use your common sense with them and they are a good addition to the gym arsenal.

These clamps are awesome. Way more convenient than the little wire ones. I hated swapping plates before I got these and now it’s quick and easy.

This is a good product however could only use 1 time.. the insert falls out easily and has already been lost. I would epoxy the insert if you only need the 1" size and don't need to adjust for the size of the barbell.

These are nice lockers for very little cost if you're looking for something that is a step up from spring clips.The one issue forcing me to knock off a star is that the little adjustment inserts are very loose and will fall out every time you remove the locker from the bar unless you glue them in. Several different thicknesses of inserts are included, but if you don't need to swap them out to fit different bars then consider epoxying them in place so that they stay put. Once that's done, it's way easier to quickly remove and install them.I've since moved on to Olympic bars and aluminum locking clips, but if you are using 1" bars I would still recommend these. Perhaps the purple/pink color isn't all that 'manly' looking, but it was steeply discounted compared to the other colors at the time I made my purchase, so I figured why not?

I have a different brand of 2 inch clamps that are plastic that are very secure and sturdy, these are not! They are so cheaply made that the screw that connects the clamp is made of very cheap and flimsy plastic. I was pretty surprised because that could be dangerous if they broke during use. I returned them.
