This bare copper wire is suitable for use in crafts or for electrical grounding wire use. This single-strand wire is annealed for improved ductility and meets QQ-W-343 standards for uninsulated copper wire. It also meets ASTM B3 standards for annealed copper wire and complies with Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulations. This copper wire is suitable for use in crafts such as jewelry and weaving or for uninsulated wiring applications.

Electrical wire carries an electric current or grounds an electrical device. The amount of current a wire can carry is proportional to its size (gauge), and the wire is generally sheathed with coatings and coverings to insulate and protect it from moisture, chemicals, heat, and abrasion. Copper is the primary material for electrical wire, but alloys are sometimes used to increase its strength or its resistance to chemicals and the environment. Wire can be composed of a single strand or of many smaller strands, depending on its use, and is typically annealed to improve its ductility. Electrical wire is commonly used in industrial, electronic, and automotive applications.

This wire is gorgeous. The finish is glossy and the wire is easy to work with and makes beautiful items. I love it. I will be ordering again. I love the way it was packaged also, so sturdy.

I use and reorder this bare copper spool to make wire wrapping pieces (wire art and pendants). It is the best so far (I have tried a few brands) it is also the most economical. The only problem (and I didn't think so much of one to reduce my 5* rating), occasionally there is more shrink wrap to remove than needed. Once it was even under the first few spooled layers.I will continue to buy it!

This huge roll of copper is so perfect and the price is unbeatable for the quality. I wire wrap jewelry & I totally agree with someone else’s comment that this is a jewelry makers dream! I’ve made A LOT of pieces using this roll & I still have a bunch left! It also oxidizes perfectly too! Will definitely be buying this again.

I make jewelry and always used Artistic Wire and other brands sold in craft stores for jewelry making. I discovered this wire when i needed bare copper wire for a project and couldn't find any copper wire that didn't have a coating. This wire is so much better and so much more affordable that now it's all I use. The wire is bright and easy to work with and comes in a variety of gauges.

I make prototypes and finished jewelry with wire. I've been using wire from Small Parts for almost a decade. It was the first copper I ever found in bulk with no coating, which is important if you patina or oxidize your pieces. The wire oxidizes and polishes *beautifully*!!! Check the photos below. :-)I really appreciate that the wire is wound on the spools so cleanly and evenly, without any stretching that I can see. Even though all wire has variations in sizing in spools, (especially dead soft wire,) this product has been consistently uniform. I create designs which sometimes require a bit more precision than most, so this was perfect. In smaller gauges, the Small Parts wire is a dream for Viking Knit.In all the spools and different gauges I've ordered, there was only one (in 30g) that had overlapped winding which needed 'untangling' - and it was just a small thing.I would definitely recommend any gauge of copper wire Small Parts sells - and would buy all of them again and again!

Ordered two spools, but only 1 arrived (looks like the package was opened along the way). Contacted Amazon and a replacement spool arrived quickly. The wire is exactly what I wanted for an electified snail / slug 'fence' along the rim of my raised bed gardens.

This is the perfect wire to use for shaping masks close to the face over the bridge of the nose. It will not rust and can be shaped and re-shaped easily without breakage.

I hate to share this secret, since it's pretty much impossible to find bare copper wire in small hardware and big-box home improvement stores in my area. The copper is satisfying thick, easy to work with, and takes a patina well. I can't say much about annealing and soldering, since I've just started learning about them. The price? It's such a good deal that it's a good metal to learn with and makes pieces worth selling and giving as gifts.

Plating lots of parts for my car projects , plating shop requested I use copper wire to tie parts together so they wouldn't' get lost (some carb parts are tiny) and to help hang them....and for this it worked fantastic. The copper is conductive so the current passes through the parts being plated.

I have been wire wrapping for years, and for years I have been limited to purchasing my copper wire supplies from the US. Finally, I have found bare copper wire (at a better price then from the US) in Canada and only takes a couple of days to ship! It patinas nicely and works perfectly for what I wanted. I will definitely order again.

I do a lot of electroplating it may be good for electrical stuff if you want good electroplating wire get Pt wire it is Inert. Copper is not really good for electroplating stuff since it corrodes and contaminates stuff and interferes. This wire is too thin for many uses but I will still use it and see what happens. The wire is thin so watch the current and amps here but it a lot of copper wire for the money. I underestimated the copper wire it fairly good wire.

It came quickly. I used it for face masks and it worked really well. It wasn't too thick and molded easily to the nose/face shape.
