The wood itself was quite straight and flat. That's important, because although I have the tools to make it so, all the rest of the lumber may have to be re-milled to match. In this case, I would have to re-mill the other 12 pieces. BUT, it was perfect, so absolutely no issueI haven't done a cutting board, or charcuterie board in a long time, but Mom wanted a chevron one.

The one thing I disliked was the price Purple Heart wood is a tropical hardwood and not as expensive
