These work perfectly on my plastic bins from Target, as well as soft fabric bins in my closet. They're a softer plastic, so really easy to get the labels into and clip on to a bin or wire shelf. The labels are a glossy paper, and don't bleed through so you can flip them over and reuse them if you need to.

I'm using these to organize my daughters clothes so that I know what sizes are in which box. Very easy to slide on and off the organizers I ordered. Paper is thick enough that you can use permanent marker on it and it won't bleed through so you can write on the other side if you mess up.
