I recently used the Bates Sanding Sponge to refurbish my daughter's vanity, and I must say, it worked wonders! This sanding sponge turned a seemingly daunting task into a breeze, and I couldn't be happier with the results.Sanding furniture can be a tedious and messy job, but the Bates Sanding Sponge made it so much easier. ****I am a product tester for Bates Choice and receive many items from the company, including these sanding sponges. That having been said, I am still very honest about my reviews and try to help people considering buying these things, and try to write reviews in a way that helps me when I'm looking to buy (or avoid) certain products.****These sanding sponges are great - I make many different things, mostly out of plywood, and generally use my mouse sander for large surface sanding (refills courtesy of Bates Choice!). When I'm ready to smooth out edges I break out these sponges. They're clearly marked on the side so it's easy to know which sponge to grab for what grit I need to use. They wash easily in water and once they're dry they're ready for the next job. As with most Bates Choice items I test they are very good quality, especially considering the low price they're offered at. Bates Choice also has a version of these sanding sponges with an angled inside edge which works better than these squared-edge sanders, so if that's the sort of project you're working on you may want to search for that. Having a combo of both styles is super handy.I'm sorry if this sounded like a planted ad (I know if I was shopping and read this I'd be hesitant to believe it), but I genuinely do like these sanding sponges and once I use these up I plan to buy more as a common civilian.

The sandpaper sponges did not hold up whatsoever. Most of the grit came off on the first couple of seconds with very simple door trim sanding. Now I am left with useless sponges. A complete night and day compared to 3M brand sandpaper.*Update*Seller contacted me and helped me out with my issue, which is very much appreciated it. Thank you.

I used to use a rubber block and sandpaper on drywall but I find myself using these sanding sponges more and more. They work great on drywall and just about anything else, they can also be used wet or dry without disintegrating. I also like the fact that with light pressure they can sand things flat but if you add pressure, you can sand contours as well.The name brand sponges that you can buy at the local home centers work well but are just so darn expensive it hurts to buy them. These seem to work just as well for just a fraction of the price.I highly recommend them.

These were thinner than I expected, but were actually good for sanding small wood pieces for making a dollhouse. A bit soft, if you're looking for more of a sanding block these might not work. The price is good.

Purchased for various projects with materials ranging from soft metals, to woods, to printed plastics. They work, but I found they tend to wear out fast even with light use. Used the first one to sand a simple PETG printed part and found the abrasive coating tends to wear out quickly.So, they work, but build quality leaves a bit to be desired. For what I paid, this should be expected though. Decent for the price, but if you need something more heavy duty, I'd try something else.
