I got this for my granddaughter because she loves fishing! Although she is only 2.5 years old, she sees her dad fish and wants to be a part. This was the perfect gift! She spends a lot of time trying to catch the fish. This seems very well made, and she has gotten lots of enjoyment from it already. It would be a super cute gift and it’s great that it comes with two poles and for adorable fish, some more than one child can play at the same time.

For the money this is a wonderful deal. In fact, I bought a second set. My grand-son is 3 1/2 years old. The first was a Christmas gift so it went home with him. He wasn't interested in any other gifts after he opened the fishing rod. The second one stays at my house. He has been here for 3 days so I set up a small tub with water in the basement near a drain and he has played for hours. We take turns catching the fish and putting them back in the tub. The rods and the fish are made well, especially for all the more the set cost. It would be nice to be able to buy more fish because he has lost one at home. Obviously, would buy again since I've already bought two sets.

This is a good pole set for the little fishing enthusiast. The four colored fish are a good size to catch and the poles have a reel that is easy to use. Great option for 3 year olds wanting to be big and fish too. We found the catching of the magnet on the fish easy despite some reviews saying it was hard. You do need to get the "hook" near the mouth of the fish to catch them. It holds very well making for a fun toy.

Update: I returned the original set and received a replacement very quickly. It works really well, and my 3-year-old grand-son has been playing with it steadily for over an hour now. It’s definitely one of my favorite toy purchases for him.I love the idea and sturdiness of this toy. My grandsons were very excited to begin playing with them. The poles are realistic and have the ability to “reel the fish in.†The size and color of the fish is great for their 18 months and 3-year-old ages. BUT, and this is a BIG but, the magnets on 3 of the 4 fish are not strong enough to stay on the poles at all. They fall off as soon as we try to, even SLOWLY, lift or reel the rod. That is a big disappointment and totally defeats the purpose of the toy. I will, unfortunately, be returning my set.

I love these, they're great quality and the reels actually work, but the fish float sideways so they're a bit difficult to pick up, and the magnet on one pole is too weak to hold on to the fish once caught, so that's a bummer. Luckily I only have 1 kiddo, so he gets the good pole when we fish!

I liked this product cause it kept my twins super busy. It was a challenge trying to get the magnetic fish to stick to the rod, but once they got the hang of it they were happy

Bought this for my grandchild's 2yr old birthday. He has had this for 3mo and still plays with it regularly. He now knows how to reel the fish without help. My 4yo GS also likes playing with it. They patiently try to catch the fish, although at first it was more likely that they would pick the fish up and attach it to the magnet. They didn't care how they used it. I've also seen them reel in each other. The poles have been knocked around a good bit but have no damage and are still working great. Occassionally, they have treated the poles like swords and the fish like frisbees, but we watch them to make sure they play safely.

Son de buena calidad. Son resistentes. Mi hija de 3 años lleva meses usándolos y no les ha pasado nada. Solo el mecanismo de la cuerda de la caña es un poco molesto si un adulto no está supervisando se sale el cordel y se enreda por fuera de la manija pero no es grave y puede revertirse. Solo me gustarÃa que los peces tuvieran un poco de peso para que se hundieran a medias o quedaran flotando solo de la boca.

It took months to arrive but i am sure this is the best fishing toy set there is.Feels solid, nog flimsy at all. Much fun and play for kids

I bought this for my almost 4 year old daughter and she LOVES it. It’s very sturdy and doesn’t get tangled , colors are beautiful and the fish are also very nice and detailed , and most importantly the toy actually works so there is no frustration involved while playing (we had a cheaper set before this one and my daughter was getting super frustrated as the magnets were too weak and the whole thing fell apart and broke after 2 weeks . Overall this is a great purchase , very well made and the price is amazing !!!!! My 9 year old step son enjoys playing with it as wel when he comes over.

Excellent for fishing on the make believe cushion boat in the living room .. my daughter did prefer her imaginary fish but has grown to love her new fishing rod and magnetic fish a sturdy and value for money set ..
