As your kiddo plays with this wooden pounding toy, they’ll be getting a hands-on lesson on the concept of cause-and-effect – when they tap the hammer on a peg, they’ll see another one pop up! Your little one can explore numbers, colors, and emotions with these fun pegs. With 5 different facial expressions to discover, this developmental toy can be used to build your kiddo’s emotional skills! When play time is over, easily store the mallet in the holes on either side of the bench. Made of worry-free and durable materials, all Battat products meet or exceed EU, U. S. and Canadian safety standards.

Purchased this for my 1yo grandson who is a little BammBamm! His 3yo sister loved playing with it too.Seems very sturdy and it is cute. And one piece so no worry of losing pieces!

Initially we bought the Melissa & Doug version of this toy. But the M&D toy was "stuck" - it was extremely hard to push in one side to make the other come up. The holes and pegs weren't fitting well. So, we found this toy from Battat, and it's excellent. I also like the built-in storage for the little hammer. Well-thought, fun toy for the little ones.

Grandson LOVES it, I bought it thinking it was the same my boys used to have but it wasn’t, with this one the pegs stay in the base, so you can wack them but the won’t come out, which on one hand is great bc with the original design you eventually end up with one peg but on the other hand it’s beneficial to have kids learn to hold the peg and wack it in, so there’s that, but when he’s a bit older we’ll hit nails in boards, for now it’s a good fun toy !I don’t care for the faces on the pegs at all, and I don’t get its purpose, overall it’s a nice toy, would be better if it was US made !

I purchased this for my 9-month-old, and I’m really impressed with the quality and design. The toy feels sturdy, well-made and aesthetically pleasing. One feature I particularly like is the small hole on the side to store the hammer—such a thoughtful addition! The numbered pegs also add an educational element, making this a toy that can grow with my child.Right now, the hammer is a bit too heavy for my baby to use independently, but she enjoys pushing the pegs in with her fingers. I know as she gets older, she’ll be able to fully engage with it as intended.Overall, I have no complaints—this is a well-designed, high-quality learning toy that I highly recommend!
