This handle worked instantly with our Nikon D3400 camera, and it's battery insertion and removal process is much easier than it was on its failed predecessor.This is a great battery extending handle that allows a camera to run on two batteries at once instead of one, increasing the active shooting time.This base has a slide that allows the batteries to be slid out on a rack to be changed instead of before, where it was necessary to dig them out of sockets with fingertips.This is a vastly superior solution. I'd give it six stars if I could.

For our Nikon D3400, this is the best constructed extension battery handle you can buy. We've tried others! Face the facts, this is a Vivatar product. They make camera stuff all day long. We should of have went with this brand first.

Happy with my purchase. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because the battery door is sloppy when closed and causes it to rattle.. not sure how well it'll hold up at this point since I really have had an opportunity to use it to much

Work great. Having two battery bays doubles your power. The grip gives you more surface area to hold the camera better.

Out of the box, the product seems extremely light and plastic-y. Its not a bad thing knowing it adds weight to the camera but is noticeable. Also, when you stand the camera upright (see 1st image) It does seem to wobble when bumped or touched.The fitment is OK at best, 7/10.The side shutter button does not work at all at the time of writing this. It did not come with a detachable cable to use the side shutter button, and it dosen't even seem like there would be access to one. (Later noticed your camera must be on a different shooting mode as 'remote' to use.)The side shutter button feels very cheap and loud, as does the battery housing cover when you tap on it or shake it whatsoever.Overall, it feels very good, isn't too heavy, extends battery life and looks professional (most important personally)(Side note) I noticed the LED bulb in the product image is in red housing, as well as a previous review. I am unsure why mine is clear.)

This is a heart breaking product! You will end up spending almost close to Rs10,000/- ( additional Nikon battery costs u almost Rs.2900/- and never be happy about it. In my case I just could not return this small piece of plastic box which I bought at such high price, just because my daughter thought that my D3400 looked bulky and cool, like some upmarket full frame DSLR!She is 10 yrs old and first thing she does is reset the camera settings and turns the dial to AUTO!IT WORKS ONLY LIKE A REMOTE ... AND BACK BUTTON FOCUS DOES NOT WORK ... and every time u have to enable the remote to açcess it and manual focus does not work... U MAY BUY A EXTRA BATTERY AND KEEP IT ON CHARGE WHILE U EXHAUST THE CURRENT ONE ...THE DELIVERY SCHEDULE FOR THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE.. even amazon people are never sure when it will arrive...Mine came a long time after I had placed the order... battery arrived almost 3 weeks earlier, though order for battery was placed later.My suggestion ... never buy these type of product, untill u have checked it first hand.Sorry! But this is what it is !
